In other words « La petite Auberge » is particularly well located!
Tournissan is a typical village of Southern France: its main street is lined with tall plane trees, the hills are covered with vineyards and olive groves. All is peace and quiet. Yet only 3 km away, St-Laurent-de-la-Cabrerisse, offers all the amenities: a small supermarket, a news agents, a post office, a bank, a hairdresser, a wine-making cooperative cellar, a medical centre, a pharmacy, a bar and 3 more restaurants. On the other side of Tournissan, 8 km away, the village of Lagrasse with its narrow lanes and impressive abbey is ranked one of the most beautiful in France.
Only a bit further off, St-Pierre-des-Champs and Talairan will open the way on the route to the Cathar culture and its vertiginous castles. The sceneries are breathtaking. All along the ways and byroads, independent winemakers invite you to sample their products. Honey makers too. The city of Limoux and its famed sparkling wine is not far. The Canal du Midi is easily accessible. And should you miss the city life, we are situated halfway between Narbonne and Carcassonne.
When you come back to La petite Auberge at the end of an exciting day, the pool will be beckoning. Unless you prefer the shade of your terrace to sit down with a good book or else connect onto your computer and reach out to the rest of the world ...
